Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ReportGenie, operated by ReportGenie Pty Ltd (ABN 70 498 129 733) ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

Important: ReportGenie generates AI-assisted draft reports as a productivity tool. All reports must be reviewed and verified by a licensed inspector before being provided to clients. ReportGenie does not replace professional judgement and is not liable for the contents of any report you produce.

1. The service

ReportGenie provides an AI-assisted tool for licensed building, pest, and other inspectors to generate draft inspection reports. The service is available via a web browser at reportgenie.online.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and hold any applicable professional licences required to conduct the type of inspection you are reporting on. By using this service, you confirm that you are a licensed professional or are otherwise authorised to produce inspection reports in your jurisdiction.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@reportgenie.online if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Plans and payment

Free plan: 3 reports per account. No payment required.
Pro plan: AUD $79/month. Unlimited reports. Billed monthly in advance.
Business plan: AUD $199/month. Up to 5 users. Contact us for setup.

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial months. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using the service, contact us within 7 days and we will assess a refund on a case-by-case basis.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the service to generate reports for inspections you did not personally conduct
Submit false or misleading information to generate reports
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service
Share your account with others (each inspector requires their own account)
Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws

7. Professional responsibility

ReportGenie generates AI-assisted draft content only. You are solely responsible for:

Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of every generated report
Ensuring reports comply with applicable Australian Standards and regulations
Your professional obligations as a licensed inspector
Any consequences arising from reports you provide to clients

8. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the report content you generate. ReportGenie retains ownership of the platform, software, and underlying technology. You grant us a limited licence to process your inputs for the purpose of generating your reports.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, ReportGenie and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to errors in generated reports, loss of business, or claims by third parties relying on your reports.

Our total liability to you for any direct loss shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Victoria.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
